HOW IT BEGAN

After spending many wonderful years as a couple working with Watoto Church Ministries in Uganda, in 2011 Rev. Chris Komagum set off on a preaching tour throughout Canada. It was during that tour he felt the call of God to move his family to this beautiful country to deepen the church’s relationship with Jesus Christ and re-ignite the passion for global missions.

In 2014 that call became a reality when Chris, along with his wife Heather and their two children, made Canada their new home. Chris came to Canada to fulfill the role of Executive Pastor with Calvary Worship Centre in Surrey, BC.

In 2018, they took the first Mission Team to Kamdini, Northern Uganda and began what has now birthed the registered charity Watume Global Ministries. This is in fulfillment of a God-given mission originally given to Chris and Heather over 20 years ago.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

We believe that every person on this earth is beautiful and special, especially to Jesus. We aim to bring hope, healing, salvation, and transformation through Jesus, in the lives of those in need, throughout the world.

We want to see global transformation—one soul at a time.

WHAT WE DO

01 Plant churches globally
02 Network with other Christian churches to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ
03 Facilitate awareness of missions work in churches in Canada
04 Coordinate missions trips overseas in partnering countries
05 Undertake community development projects in conjunction with partnering churches and ministries overseas

For the purpose of community and national transformation.

One life, one family, one village, one community, one city, one nation.
