Project Uganda
Why we chose Kamdini, Northern Uganda as our starting point of outreach:

This area is rural, with most of the population being peasant farmers. At the end of the Lord's Resistance Army 20-year insurgency in 2007, aid poured into Gulu and Kitgum and other major centres in the north, but Kamdini was - and still is - a place people passed through, not stopped in. The community has therefore been largely ignored for decades. There has been no Government investment in education or community infrastructure, though electricity is now available.
The families in the community are for the most part uneducated and have no formal employment, but they do have land which they cultivate by hand to provide food and rear chicken and goats. Many households are headed by widows raising their children, or the women are from a polygamous background and poorly supported by the father of their children. This area was the southern extent to which the LRA rebels came during the insurgency, and so many of the people, and especially the women, are still traumatized as a result.
In addition, in the last 5 years, Kamdini has developed as a truck stop for large trucks en route from Kenya to South Sudan and D R Congo. This has brought some commerce to the local economy in Kamdini, but it has also resulted in a high rate of teenage pregnancies, "back street" abortions and an increase in the rate of HIV infection in the general population. The school will be one of the first building blocks in re-building this community.
This location is strategic and vital as it is the crossroads to four key areas: north to South Sudan, north west to DR Congo, east to Kenya, and south to Kampala and Rwanda.
We are currently fundraising for the following
School Projects - to watch our video on this project click here
Global Christian Academy—Primary School
We began our primary school in faith in January 2019, beginning with Baby class, Middle class and Top class. We have been able to use the nearby church as classrooms for the past two years.
However, each year has seen the school grow and the need the first primary classroom block became urgent. Through the generosity of donors, we are happy to announce that the first classroom block process has begun with the estimated completion to be before summer. Kindergarten classes will carry on in the church building as we fund raise for more classrooms until the entire Primary campus is completed.
Global Christian Academy—Secondary Boarding School
In Uganda Secondary schools are boarding schools. Our school will continue to build on the foundation of the Primary school. This will prepare the students to fulfill their God-given calling and destiny. The students will be prepared for tertiary or technical studies that prepare them to be the leaders of their generation.
From conceptual drawings to architectural plans, we hope to start construction in 2021.
Continued Ministry Projects
Watume Conference Centre
We have acquired property in the town of Kamdini where a new multi-purpose conference centre will be located. It will be used as a place of worship, a conference facility, a retreat centre for Christian groups, as well as a place of rest and personal renewal for missionaries and provide accommodation for missions teams. This project fulfills multiple purposes that are needed not only in the community, but in the church community in Africa as well.
Watume Mission Base
This is needed to house short-term and long-term missionary volunteers working with Watume in Kamdini and surrounding communities. The Mission Base grounds are already acquired, and housing is now needed as our involvement in the community and surrounding areas is growing. As well, most of the Kamdini Mission activities take place at this location.

Mission Uganda

Since 2018 we have taken a team yearly to Uganda. With a long-term commitment to the community, we hold a week-long pastors’ conference, followed by a week of teaching (men, women, youth and children) and evening crusades. Our 6th mission trip is being planned. Due to Covid, our trips were post-poned in 2021 and 2022, and resumed in 2023. Our next trip is being planned for January 2025.
Prophetic Prayer Protocol
This is a conference held annually in Kampala, which aims to disciple professionals in the business sector by teaching them Godly principles for life and work.
